IGNOU Assignment Status 2024

As we all know that the last date for submission of the IGNOU Assignment for the TEE June 2024 session is now over. Therefore, we hope that the IGNOU RCs across the country have also begun to update the IGNOU Assignment Status Online for the most recent TEE session June 2024. As of now, the students will only get to know the status of “Check Grade Card Status for Details” as the assignment marks and results for the session June 2024 are declared together with the IGNOU TEE Result June 2024 . Therefore, candidates are advised to keep checking their IGNOU Assignment status regularly to get their assignment marks and results online as soon as possible.

IGNOU assignment status and marks for TEE December 2023 are now uploaded with the TEE Result December 2023 so keep checking the assignment status regularly to get your marks. If you already submitted the IGNOU Assignment for the session December 2023 to your study centre or through online or offline mode then you don’t have to wait for more time. The link to check your assignment status and marks is now updated to confirm whether it gets updated online or not. The assignment status and marks for June & December 2023 are generally updated with the TEE Result for June & December 2023 respectively.

IGNOU Assignment Status Update Process & Time

After submission of assignments through any of the available methods, the assignments goes for an evaluation to the evaluator of the study centre or regional centre. Once the Evaluator has successfully evaluated your assignment then they will either upload your marks directly on the IGNOU Official Site or it will be sent to IGNOU Delhi for updating online and thereafter it can be seen by each student to get their report. You can get your Marks, Status, Grades, and Results of your Assignments from here. Generally, IGNOU Assignment marks updating and uploading within 40 days after submission to the concerned study or regional centre.

IGNOU Assignment Result and Marks Checking Process 2024

The assignment status will show you when the evaluation is done. The university will start updating your marks on the grade card as soon as the evaluation of the assignments is done. So, you must check the grade card after the assignment status says you to do so.

Step – 1 – Visit the official IGNOU portal at www.ignou.ac.in and go to Student Zone.

Step – 2 –  Search for Results and click on it.

Step – 3 – From the left panel, click on Grade Card .

Step – 4 – Provide your program, course, and enrolment number to search and get your grade card.

As you see your grade card, you can check whether the university has updated your assignment marks on it or not. If the search results are leading to an error, this means the university has not yet started updating the grade cards of the students for this semester.

What If IGNOU Assignment Status Is Not Updated?

Sometimes the update process of IGNOU Assignment status gets delayed for an unknown reason like the evaluation of assignments is delayed in the concerned study centre or maybe the regional centre has not uploaded your assignment marks online. Candidates can wait till the declaration of the result to get updates on their assignment but if you are not able to find your assignment status or marks even after the release of the TEE Result then you need to connect with centre where you submitted your assignments.

IGNOU MBA is a 2-year distance learning program with specializations in Banking & Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Service, and Operations Management. Recently, the university has also started IGNOU Online MBA program course which is approved by AICTE. Admission to the MBA program at IGNOU is conducted in two cycles, i.e. January and July Cycles. In order to be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university. In order to be eligible for admission to the MBA program at IGNOU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree of minimum three years and have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks
• In the reserved category, 45% in Bachelor's is mandatory.

For MBA (Banking and Finance)

• Must have passed Bachelor's of minimum three years with 50% marks.
• 5% relaxation provided to reserved category candidates.
• Should have passed CAIIB examination of Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai and would have been awarded required credentials/ qualification by the institute.
• Should have been working with the Banking or financial sector for a period of at least two years.

IGNOU MBA admission for the July 2024 session will be granted on the basis of merit secured in the qualifying degree. The university will be not be conducting IGNOU OPENMAT entrance exam for admission to the MBA program. Eligible candidates can directly apply online on the official website of the university. Selected candidates shall be notified through text message and email on their registered mobile number and email id.

IGNOU online MBA program is a 2-year postgraduate degree program that is approved by AICTE. The course will be conducted through digital mode only and the students will not be required to attend offline classes at the IGNOU study centers. Students will receive self-learning study materials in the digital form of E-lectures, IGNOU E-Content, etc. to complete the course.

IGNOU Online MBA Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for admission to online MBA at IGNOU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• A 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
• A relaxation of 5% (45% marks) is given to SC/ST candidates.

IGNOU Online MBA Admission Criteria

IGNOU online MBA admission is offered on the basis of basis or merit in the qualifying examination. The university will not be conducting any entrance examination for the same.

Following topics are needed to be studied for an MBA program at IGNOU:

The MBA programme consists of 28 courses:

• 20 Core Courses
• 7 Specialisation courses
• 1 Project Course

Students have to select 7 courses in each semester.

• The School of Management Studies offers numerous specializations such as Human Resource management, Financial Management, Operations, Management, Marketing Management, and Services management in the MBA program.
• Total credit weightage in 28 courses is 116.
• Core courses have 80 credit points, 8 credit for project, and 7 Specialisation courses with 28 credits. 

The system of evaluation is based on: 

• Continuous evaluation in the form of assignments (weightage : 30%) 

This component carries a weightage of 30%. There will be one graded assignment per course. The assignment is to be submitted to the Coordinator of the Study Centre to which the student is assigned or attached with. 

• Term-end examination (weightage : 70%) 

Term-end exams will be held twice every year in the months of June and December. The students are at liberty to appear in any of the examinations conducted by the University during the year.

• A student will be awarded the degree of completion of coursework only if they complete all the 28 specified courses. 
• If a student wishes to exit the programme after completing the courses of first and second semester, he/she can exit on special request and will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM).

Note: In order to exit the programme students must have completed 56 credit points of first and second semester to be made eligible for the certificate.

IGNOU MBA Study Material and Assignments

Students enrolled in IGNOU are sent study material by Registered post/ Speed Post. The University also has a provision of providing soft copy of the self learning material. Students opting for soft copy will be given a discount of 15% in the program fees.

For non-receipt of study material, students can contact and write to the registrar, Material Production and Distribution Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068.

Simultaneous Registration

Students pursuing any program of one year or longer duration from IGNOU can simultaneously apply for any certificate program of six months. However, if one wants to pursue two degree programs from the same University or one from regular and other from IGNOU, is not permitted.

Students with Disability

Students pursuing MBA at IGNOU and belonging to the disability section of 40% or more are given additional two years beyond the maximum duration (4 years). For this, they should provide a disability certificate.

Ques. How much is the registration fee for MBA at IGNOU? Is the fee refundable?

Ans. The registration fee at IGNOU is Rs.200/- which is non refundable in nature. Apart from that, the program fee for the first semester is also charged at the time of admission. If one requests for cancellation of admission before the last date for submission of admission form, fee will be refunded after deducting ₹200. I chose this course as I was looking for a disctance course in management. The major reason for going with this university is that the fees was under my budget. The faculty is very good, we can attend online classes in weekends and the students can join from Pan India so it is not feasible for the teacher to take doubt of each and every student. They teach and explain the subject topic wise and then we can post our doubts. Also, they are available on whatsapp or email for any doubts. Overall the faculties are really experienced , most of the faculty is PHD holders. Now, talking about the exams it is divided into two parts, first is the assignments and second is the final theory exams. Assignments contains 30% weightage and are necessary to submit. The term exams are conducted timely in proper study centres. It is not very difficult to pass the exams if you go through the last year question papers thoroughly. If you have attempted all the questions with right answers then you can pass.

I Choose the MBA course from IGNOU because it is the world's largest open university. Study material was provided by the university itself within 1 month from the date of admission. Exams are not that difficult to pass.

I chose the course to do masters in the field of commerce which was suitable for my profile. The class size was however bit large and the faculty was not enough at times. A few of the faculty members were nicely qualified but not all of the members. The exams were timely planned however the assignments submitted were not thoroughly checked.

• We can't deny that it is a little challenging to pass the IGNOU exam, but still, it is not an impossible thing. Since IGNOU does a strict evaluation, many students get this question, whether it is hard to get through this examination

Good university for middle class students

I choose this course because I did my graduation in hotel management and this MTTM course is good for me is for as my carrier. The qualification of staff is good. I am in the first year and I attend a few classes my experience was nice.

How does ignou issue degree mark sheets.

IGNOU does not provide semester or year-end grade reports. It will provide you with a consolidated mark sheet at the end of your program. However, if you want a mark sheet halfway through, you must apply it separately. You will be charged a nominal fee and will receive IGNOU marksheet for all of the papers you have already examined, as well as the results.

The university gives you the option of coming to the convocation ceremony to get your degree certificate or sending an Rs. 200 demand draft as they post the degree.

What is IGNOU B.com A&F degree for CA students? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing it?

• Only six exams
• Only 6 days of the holiday are required (exam days).
• There are only six assignments to complete.
• The course fee is only Rs 6500-7000 for the entire duration of the course. That's all there is to it.
• BS cannot be written in exams.
• One study will obtain a minimum of 65%. The exact percentage of a Bachelor's Degree that employers look for.

Can I apply for two programs in IGNOU simultaneously?

According to the UGC, no universities have been approved to allow students to pursue dual degrees or master's degrees at the same time. Even if you register for one degree at IGNOU and another at another distant or regular university, it will not be valid because UGC does not endorse that. You cannot display both certificates at the same time. 

As a result, it is always preferable to complete a B.Com before pursuing an MBA. B.Com in addition to BBA is a challenge. After completing your B.Com, you can enroll in IGNOU's MBA program.

Is an MCA from IGNOU good for my prospects?

IGNOU degree is accredited by the Indian government and is recognized as equivalent to a graduate degree in engineering in the United States. Students get their H1B visa stamped because it is considered a professional qualification, but they are sponsored by one of the top 5 Software MNCs in India, which is very important. A degree from IGNOU has enormous validity and recognition.

Sure, you may have difficulty breaking into the job market because most employers prefer "Regular" degrees from a reputable college or university. Nobody is lucky enough to get a job of their choice. The only difference is that distance learning requires you to fight more, both during your studies and in the job market. However, one should not overthink, hard work pays off.

Maintain your fundamentals, learn and master the latest technology, and prepare yourself to be versatile and competitive.

Your priority should be to find a job in your field of study, rather than a high-paying job. When you're in the field, your experience counts, and your degree usually takes a back seat.

How many subjects do we have to choose in BA for IGNOU?

A student should take no more than 96 credits in BA (applicable for every subject).

To obtain a major in any subject, a student must have a total of 48 credits in that subject, which equates to 6 papers of 8 credits taken over three years. (2 papers per year)

The remaining 48 credits are divided as follows:

In the first and second years, compulsory papers BSHF 101 and FST 01, each worth 8 credits.

Students in their second year are required to take one elective course in addition to the compulsory course and the subject in which they are majoring.

Applied Courses are for third-year students, and they can be taken for 8 or 16 credits.

Students may take any subject from Group 1 to Group A1 in addition to Group A1.

As a result, the number of subjects taken each year is determined by the number of credits a student takes. If a 4-credit subject is chosen, the student should take two 4-credit papers for a total of 8 credits, increasing the number of papers.

Are master's degrees from IGNOU acceptable for admission into Ph.D. courses in top universities?

It is not only accepted, but it also falls into the H+ category. The H + classification simply indicates that the degrees earned at this institution are transferable to the university sector. It has nothing to do with a preliminary decision on whether this institution's qualifications can be equated with German higher education qualifications. It should be noted that no equivalence determination or evaluation of higher education institutions in Anabin occurs on the Status down. 

Contrary to popular belief, the question of whether a foreign institution corresponds to a German university or a German university of applied sciences is not answered. In the field of higher education, equivalence definitions and assessments are conducted solely in terms of final types and degrees.

How good is IGNOU for MA courses?

It is guaranteed that the study material provided by IGNOU is excellent. You'll have a great time going through them. It will undoubtedly provide you with a thorough understanding of the subject. However, it is not without difficulty. You get to work hard. If you want to study Economics via distance education, IGNOU is your best bet. 

However, pursuing it at a regular university in a face-to-face mode may be preferable because teachers can assist you with your difficulties. However, if you are already employed, MA in Economics from IGNOU is an excellent choice.

How is the English MA course in IGNOU University?

It is extremely convenient to pursue an M.A. in English through IGNOU. The only problem is that the course materials are delivered very late. However, you are not required to rely on or wait for the materials. Because the materials remain the same year after year, they can be obtained from anyone who has already completed the course or from used bookstores. To be honest, the material isn't much help. In fact, guidebooks are more beneficial because they also provide you with the previous year's question papers, which are extremely helpful in understanding the exam question pattern, and once understood, you are guaranteed to score above 55% on your first attempt.

You have five years to complete your course, which consists of eight credits, four in the first year and four in the second. It is mandatory to submit the assignment for the paper you wish to sit for during the exams, which are held twice a year. It is entirely up to you whether to take all exams at once or spread them out over all ten semesters. In short, if you are determined, you can complete your master's degree in two years by taking two papers each semester. Contact classes are scheduled; if possible, attend them as they will get you started on your preparation and keep you motivated. 

Doing some research for your assignment and attempting to keep your answer original rather than copying from the guide will increase your chances of getting good grades on the assignments. If you fail a paper in the semester exam, you have the option of retaking it in subsequent semesters until you achieve a passing mark.

So, get the reference books, analyze the question pattern, turn in your assignment, and begin studying for the exam.

What is the scope of doing Post Graduation Diploma in Applied Statistics from IGNOU?

PGDAST is concerned with applied statistics. As a result, it requires fewer proofs. There are more theorems, formulas, and methods to employ. While a Masters's program contains numerous proofs as well as an applied component. However, PGDAST will undoubtedly improve your statistical knowledge. Furthermore, statistics have numerous applications in computer science and big data/data research. As a result, it will undoubtedly improve your career prospects. This is especially true given the scarcity of computer engineers who are also statisticians. And statisticians are in high demand in information technology firms. So you have an advantage over others.

It does not entitle you to study higher mathematics or statistics at any Indian university or IIT. Because PGDAST is only a one-year program, as opposed to MSC, which is a two-year program. PGDAST can also be completed by graduates from any discipline. While a Master's in Statistics requires a minimum three-year Bsc degree in Math/statistics. The PGDAST program is a diploma program.

You should go for it if you want to learn statistics. It will undoubtedly be a rewarding experience. One year of effort is not excessive. You must be consistent. To be eligible to sit for term-end exams, you must complete assignments. Even if you do not consider the benefits of computer science, it will almost certainly foster a new way of thinking.

How long does the IGNOU take to send a mark sheet and certificate?

According to the Ordinance, Rules, and Regulations, results should be announced within 45 days of the examination date. The Grade Card can be downloaded from the IGNOU website for any purpose. If you require an original Grade Card for the semesters you have completed, you must contact the Registrar's Student Evaluation Division. 

However, once you complete your program, you will automatically receive your grade card and provisional certificate. Only after convocation will you receive your original degree certificate. Convocation is usually held in April of the following year, following the date of the exam that you took.
