The addition of IBM as a new partner in the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems Center, a DOE National Quantum Information Science Research Center, hosted by Fermilab, has been approved by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, Science Programs.
Rapidus Corporation, a manufacturer of advanced logic semiconductors, and multinational technology company IBM, today announced a joint development partnership aimed at establishing mass production technologies for chiplet packages. Through this agreement, Rapidus will receive packaging technology from IBM for high-performance semiconductors, and the two companies will collaborate with the aim to further innovate in this space.
IBM today announced the evolution and expansion of Qiskit, its globally adopted quantum software. Launched in 2017, Qiskit, as a software development kit (SDK) is an open-source tool that has allowed over 550,000 users to build and run quantum circuits on IBM’s quantum hardware systems, resulting in the execution of over 3 trillion quantum circuits to date.
Agreement outlines intent to research and develop solutions to new challenges related to processing performance, power consumption, and design complexity
Today, IBM (NYSE: IBM) has announced an agreement with RIKEN, a Japanese national research laboratory, to deploy IBM’s next-generation quantum computer architecture and best-performing quantum processor at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan. It will be the only instance of a quantum computer co-located with the supercomputer Fugaku.

UX Researcher Interns uncover insights, inform product decisions, and forge new opportunities to improve business outcomes through the rigorous study of people and the ecosystems in which they exist. They continuously build user understanding and empathy through empirical observation, experience, and making.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Foundational understanding of UX research
- Experience with conducting primary and secondary research
- Identifying and communicating appropriate research methodology to address research opportunity
- Supporting recruiting of appropriate participants for research plans and goals
- Conducting research methods and activities to capture qualitative and quantitative data
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights
- Delivering compelling stories to communicate actionable insights for team and stakeholders
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Excellent collaboration skills with a persistent curiosity
- Experience with research tools (e.g. UserZoom, survey tooling, Usertesting.com, Optimal Workshop, etc.)
- Awareness of inclusive design practices and accessibility standards
- Degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Sociology, Behavioral Economics, or related field
